The Military Museum of Southern New England.
The Museum opened in 1985 as a not for profit organization, dedicated to the preservation of our nations military history. The original intent of the museum was to maintain the memory of American Tank Destroyer units of the Second World War. Over our 20 year history, thanks to generous donations and the hard work of many unpaid volunteers, the museum's collection has expanded to over 10,000 artifacts covering all of the armed services of the United States. We currently display a vivid cross section of 20th century American military history. Many of our vehicles are extremely rare, often the only example in the western hemisphere! The museum staff is composed primarily of unpaid volunteers who are responsible for designing and installing exhibits, running the gift shop and participating in public events.
