ARMORED CAR USA
Developed by Ford Motor Company in 1943 as an armored utility car, it had a Browning M2 50-cal machine gun that rode on an M49A1 ring mount. Used by Tank Destroyer units along with the M8 Greyhound, (mounted a 37-mm gun in a turret and a 30-cal machine gun on a ring mount on top of the turret) it was considered a leading design for the reconnaissance role. It remains in service with many overseas countries.
