EXHIBIT #14

M-108 SELF-PROPELLED HOWITZER                          USA

Developed in 1961 to replace the aging M-52, production of the M-108 began in 1964. A clean and simple design, it represented a more sophisticated approach than the M-52. It was capable of 360-degrees turret rotation, versus the 60 degrees left/right of the M-52. It also moved the driver into the hull from the turret. Despite the 105-mm’s ability to hit targets 6.5 miles away, it proved to be under-endowed with the 105-mm, so attention turned to putting a 155-mm in a slightly bigger turret, making the M-109 Paladin. The upgrading of the gun was so successful, that M-108 production abruptly halted, obviously the right decision as the M-109 proved its worth in Vietnam, Desert Storm, and even Operation Iraqi Freedom. Many new technology advances are making better artillery guns, but the Paladin’s not going to retire anytime soon.
