RECONNAISSANCE
VEHICLE
The
Hotchkiss SP 1.A was developed in France, yet it was never used by the French
Army. However, it became an important reconnaissance vehicle used by West
Germany in the mid-1950s. It was supplied in many types, such as
reconnaissance, observation, and some even served as ambulances. Unlike other
reconnaissance vehicles, this one was armed with a 20-mm cannon, which enabled
it to hold its own against most enemy light vehicles The Sp 1.A has been
replaced by more recent vehicles, but it’s probably still held for reserve.
