The Story of the 10th Mountain Division

This display features the story of the 10th in the Italian mountains during World War II. The 10th was the only ski & mountain division in the second world war, and has some very unique items. This exhibit also tells the story of the present 10th Mountain Division; it was reactivated in 1986 and is based out of nearby Fort Drum. Members of the 10th have served in the Persian Gulf, Somaila, Bosnia, and other modern conflicts.

Life-size Dioramas

Two galleries have permanent displays of our M-18 Tank Destroyer, M-8 Armored Car, WW-I M-1917 Tank, M-22 Locust tank, a Topolino auto, and a 105-mm Howitzer. These vehicles has been fully restored and are driven in local parades.
