NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO GUIDE MUSEUM

Mr. Samuel Johnson, who has been associated with our museum since 1995, has accepted the position of “ Executive Director” replacing Kevin Mara on October 2, 2005.  Sam has already implemented improved procedures for daily operations. His extensive experience include serving the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry as an advisor on military topics.  Sam’s “in depth” knowledge of military history adds a new dimension to his position. We welcome Sam and look forward to new dynamics and guidance under his direction.

BOARD WELCOMES NEW DIRECTORS

At the June “Board of Directors” meeting three new directors were elected to serve three year terms.  They are Samuel Johnson, our new “Executive Director”, from Bridgeport, Paul Mangiafico from Newtown, and Joseph Muchanski from Shelton.  Another candidate, Terry Thompson, from Danbury, was also elected to a three year term.  Our Board now has fourteen Directors, and continues to guide the museum’s success at a high level of professionalism. Their dedicated efforts even more as we enter our 21st year.
